The Best Ginger Tea Recipe
Finally it’s getting cooler here where I live, for cooler weather I love making my Ginger Tea to keep me strong for Cold & Flu season, too bad there is a season for this! But I got it covered:)
I am not a big fan of medication and having my Ginger Tea handy helps me keep me ready for any Cold or Flu.
I usually make a big batch and keep it in the fridge, you can also have it cold too if you wish to and having it in the morning helps you be ready for the day ahead, especially if you have kids in school like I do, you can never be too careful, they bring home all the dirt and germs.
Nothing beats cold in the winter like a piping hot cup of ginger tea. With its high levels of Vitamin C, magnesium and other minerals, ginger root is extremely beneficial for health.
Ginger has a long history of use for relieving digestive problems such as nausea, loss of appetite, motion sickness and pain as well. Ginger also Reduce Muscle Pain and Soreness
Ginger appears to be effective at reducing the day-to-day progression of muscle pain, and may reduce exercise-induced muscle soreness too.
Overall, ginger is gold. And I sure love my recipe:)
Here what you need:
- Ginger root
- Lemon grass
- Fresh mint leaves
- Lemon juice
- Honey or agave ( optional)
To make it:
I clean and chop my ginger really fine, and also slice half a cup lemongrass and I put it in French press, I add boiling water and let it simmer, the more you simmer the stronger it’s going to get.
Than I pour it in a cup and put couple of fresh mint leaves and lemon juice and honey.
It is so yummy and there is a nice spice to it and you feel clean and healthy when you drink it.
I hope you enjoy it as much as I do.
Keep Cold & Flu away all winter with some Ginger Tea.
Until next time
