ORGANIC VS. CONVENTIONAL

Organic vs. conventional food? Results have shown no evidence to support organic food having a higher nutrient content than conventional. That being said, I still go for the organic for various reasons.

Consumption of Organic foods may reduce exposure to pesticide residues and antibiotic resistant bacteria.

We already know how pesticides have negative effects on our health.

Knowing all these are you still debating? I didn’t think so:) I know Organic foods can be more pricey but fortunately we don’t have to get everything Organic. Look for the skin of the fruit/veggies – if it’s thick than you can get away buying conventional.

There is also another tip for you to know, when you are at the store and you are not sure if they are organic or where they are coming from than you can look at the numbers on the little stickers that you usually don’t pay attentions too…trust me befor I learned what they meant I have never even look at those stickers. Now even my 7 years old girl knows what those numbers mean so she can pick her berries accordingly…

You will see CODES on those stickers that contains numbers

  • 4 digit code starting with 3 or 4 (4011) tells you that it was CONVENTIONAL grown
  • 5 digit code starting with 9 (94126) tells your that it’s ORGANIC
  • 5 digit code starting with 8 (83134) tells you it’s GMO

                                           ALWAYS AVOID GMO

Don’t skimp on a healthy conventional food just to afford a few organic items that matches your budget.

Only eat foods that will eventually go rotten.

One quick note on CHICKEN that I can’t emphasize how important to have it ORGANIC because farmers usually uses ARSENIC.

IT MUST BE ORGANIC.

  • Refined Sugar
  • MSG
  • GMO
  • BHT
  • Sodium Nitrate
  • Olestra
  • Caffein
  • Brominated Vegetable oil
  • Partially Hydrogenated Vegetable oil
  • Pesticides

I also love buying LOCAL. It’s often fresher, tastes better and create understanding of where the food is sourced from. It makes me happy to support my local farms. I can’t wait to have my own farm.:)

Please keep that in mind that it’s never too late to make changes on how you shop, long term effects will be so rewarding since our blood renews itself every three months, you will eliminate and get rid of most toxins by making small changes, specially growing children will benefit from having organic fruits and vegetables.
